To Preserve and perpetuate the Greek culture and traditions.
To inspire curiosity and understanding of the Greek Heritage.
To act as a bridge between the past and the future.
To provide a safe environment where the Greek Village Campers can spend a week with positive role models while developing their social skills, make new friends and create fun memories.
We will achieve these goals by exposing the young minds to a different geographic region of Greece every year and by teaching them the local history, dances, music, arts, myths, geography, cooking and much more.
Our Greek Village concept was born from the Vision of a handful Greek families back in 2010, with 25 kids, hard work and was primarily privately funded.
Today our Greek Village is a success story and in 2014 the program hosted over 90 campers.
The Dream of preserving The Greek Heritage in all its forms, language, astronomy, theater, dance, and cuisine stared a domino effect. Finally, the Torch has been passed to the willing hands of a new Greek/American generation.
We are exceptionally proud of our Greek teachers. We hire responsible, caring, talented young men and women that lead by example to guide, and teach our campers.
They are fluent in the Greek language and are aware that our Greek village camp is a tremendous amount of work and responsibility. Most of our teachers and staff are returning to our Greek Village year after year. They are familiar with the educational aspect of the program and come to St. Nicholas Ranch with the intention of creating a meaningful, fun, safe, and inspiring experience for the campers.
